Paula’s Pulse – November 2019

Paula's Post teaser

After a long, hot summer, we are finally now upon the holiday season, enjoying cooler weather and looking forward to special time with family and friends, wonderful homecooked meals, and the many blessings of the season.

Early December has traditionally been the time that Mission of Mercy brings friends, donors, funders and partners together to celebrate the successes of our work, share stories of hope and healing, and raise the funds necessary to continue our mission of “healing through Love” and restoring dignity to those we have the privilege of serving throughout the year.

Unfortunately, we recently made the difficult decision to cancel our 13th Annual Morning of Miracles breakfast, which was scheduled for Dec. 4, 2019, at the Phoenix Art Museum. Instead on this day, we will be relocating our Shepherd of the Valley clinic, which has been hosted by the Lutheran church for more than 22 years, to its new home at North Phoenix Baptist Church. We feel the most important thing we can do at this time is to focus our efforts on the move in order to provide as seamless and successful a transition possible for the patients we serve in North-Central Phoenix.

Since the breakfast has served as a signature annual fundraiser for our nonprofit, we will be missing a major source of funding right before the holidays. We ask you to consider a generous year-end contribution to support our 7 local healthcare clinics and receive a tax credit for your gift by visiting our tax credit donation page. We greatly appreciate every donation — it truly makes a difference!

In this issue of The Script, you’ll find inspiring stories about dedicated volunteers and patients who are on the path to wellness after finding a MOM clinic to address their unmet healthcare needs.

As we move into the busy holiday months, we wish you and yours a blessed holiday season!
