Primary Medical Care, Diagnostic Testing, Prescription Medication, Vision,
Health Education and Specialty Care.
Mission of Mercy clinics are set up similarly to a private primary care physician’s office. We are fully equipped to diagnose and treat conditions ranging from acute to chronic illnesses. We seek to provide continuity of care for our patients.
One of the most expensive aspects of modern medicine is the high cost of prescription medications. Mission of Mercy Arizona patients average two or more prescriptions per visit. These often lifesaving medications allow patients to maintain their health, continue to work and care for their families, and resume productive lives. At MOM AZ, we are fortunate for our partnership with CenterWell pharmacy who donates millions of dollars of medication for our patient’s use every year, allowing us to
continue offering prescription medication services to our patients completely free.
Mission of Mercy Arizona is happy to offer vision care as a specialty medical service in our Mesa clinic. Especially for our diabetic patients, vision and eye care is critical as diabetes can cause permanent damage to many parts of the eye. Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most common causes of blindness. We welcome new partnerships with optometrists and ophthalmologists who may be interested in contributing their time and skills to our important mission and work at any of our clinic locations.
Patient empowerment is critical to long term health and stability. Mission of Mercy is committed to educating our patients so that they are empowered to manage their own health. Mission of Mercy Arizona’s comprehensive Diabetes Education Program includes diagnostic testing, regular monitoring, medication, and extensive time with our Diabetes Educators who counsel, educate and demonstrate how best to adopt gradual lifestyle changes for best health outcomes. We are fortunate to have partnerships with Gregory’s Fresh Produce and Azcend in the East Valley to offer fresh produce bags to in several of our clinics regularly, addressing both our patient’s lack of access to fresh, nutrient dense foods as well as their food insecurity.
MOM’s medical clinics are 95% volunteer run by licensed doctors and nurses. Our breadth and capacity to serve is reliant upon partnerships with doctors, nurses and their networks of health professionals. We are always looking for new medical partners and specialists who are interested in serving in a high impact community medicine setting.
