Mission of Mercy Celebrates 25 Years of Delivering Free, Quality Healthcare to Arizonans in Need
Sonora Quest Laboratories, Banner Health, CenterWell Pharmacy and Dignity Health, to Receive Awards
Mission of Mercy Arizona, a Phoenix-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free primary medical care and prescription medications to those in need, will celebrate its 25-year anniversary with an “Everyday Moments, Everyday Miracles” celebration and fundraiser at Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Nov. 10, 2022.
This special event recognizes healthcare partners who support Mission of Mercy’s important work in the community providing free access to healthcare to the medically vulnerable through a network of six mobile clinics located throughout Maricopa County.
This year, the event recognizes Sonora Quest Laboratories with the Lifetime Cornerstone Partnership Award for providing more than $2 million in free lab testing for Mission of Mercy patients over the past 25 years. Banner Health, CenterWell Pharmacy and Dignity Health are also being recognized with Cornerstone Partnership awards for their commitment to community health and supporting MOM’s mission of providing free healthcare.
“We are honored to have partnered with a robust network of hundreds of volunteers and health partners in the community that have made it possible to provide nearly 300,000 free medical visits to more than 57,000 patients since we first opened our doors in 1997,” said Paula Carvalho, executive director of Mission of Mercy Arizona. “The community partners we are honoring this year truly embody our mission of healing through love and restoring the dignity of our most vulnerable neighbors.”
Registration for this event is open at giftmercy.org; donations are encouraged. Sponsors include Sonora Quest Laboratories, Dignity Health, CenterWell Pharmacy, Catholic Community Foundation, Sprouts Farmers Market, East Valley Firefighter Charities and Desert Diamond Casino West Valley.
