Mo Bronson has been faithfully volunteering at Mission of Mercy’s Shepherd of the Valley clinic in Phoenix every Wednesday for the past five years. Her Spanish-speaking abilities are put to good use helping out with registration and interacting with patients who do not speak English.
Mo found her way to Mission of Mercy via a friend that invited her to tour one of the mobile clinic sites (tours are available monthly and a schedule can be found online HERE). After she completed the tour, she knew she wanted to get involved and use her skills to help those less fortunate.
Over the course of her volunteering, she continues to be amazed by the patients’ gratitude. One woman gave her a pair of beautiful hand-made earrings that she had admired as a thank you for providing care.
“Everyone should have access to healthcare. Without Mission of Mercy, a lot of these people would have no healthcare at all,” Mo says.
In addition to volunteering in the clinic setting, Mo has also represented Mission of Mercy at community events, sharing information about the services that we provide to those who may need assistance with primary medical care. She says, “I’m forever grateful that my friend Kim Van Camp invited me into the Mission of Mercy family.”
